Anyone else thing that the photos on the pearl suck?

All in all, taking a viewing......

Even when i put photos on my pearl from my computer its a real paint to go through and view them...

Also the camera isn’t very good at all....

Anyone know how to make it better? Like any photo organization/viewing programs or camera hacks/trips?

The camera is pretty decent for a camera phone to me. When I set it to superfine and transfer them to my computer they are excellent compared to my old vga camera on my razr.

My pics come out pretty darn clear for a camera phone. If I'm looking to take high quality pictures, I'm not gonna use my phone anyway. Night pictures suck but get some good light in there and definitely not bad at all.

Yes, but nothing compares to N70 Nokia. 2.0 Mpix.
However, BB has a 1.3 Mpix, but all images (everytime) seem to be a bit 'out of focus'!
    Take a look:
    (Superfine and 1280x1024, no flash)

I never understand this argument. The Pearl is a multimedia device, not just a phone. If I needed just a phone I would have bought just a phone, not a Pearl. Camera technology has come a huge way in the last 2-3 years, expecially in terms of imaging chip integration. One can get good 3MP CCD or CMOS chip assembly for a few dollars, so there is absolutely no reason why the camera on the Pearl can't be better than it is. Even on superfine/large the noise level in images makes the camera generally unusable. I also agree the images are typically out of focus.

Perhaps it's an 'algorithm compression' bug.
My BB8100 is set to Superfine but all images are 'a little bit out of focus'. Just a bit.

    Re: Pearl Photos

The camera is fine, When i got this pearl i didnt get it for the camera, i got it for all its other amazing features. For a good quality image i bought a digital camera, after the pearl. This camera is pretty good, im satisfied with it but for the best quality just spend a couple of $$$ and get nice cam that will make you very happy after taking pictures.

Come on people, its the pearl, it has so many other features, that even if the camera was more than wack we would still be happier, either way, i barely use this function of taking pictures and when i do, im good with them.

    Keep it going.

I never undersatand "this" arguement. Let's just call an apple an apple and a phone a phone. It may be a hyper-advanced, technologically superior, deathray enabled phone, but it is still a phone!
