    Pearl Calendar

Hey guys. Dumb question... I'm just starting to use my calendar, and I was wondering what "Show Time As" means? I have it currently set as Busy. But what does free, tentative, busy, and out of office mean? Also, the reminder does it make a ring sound or what?

    Thanks,
    Rosalyn.

    Hey Rosalyn,

Mainly unless you are on BES and other people can see your calendar (shared) you really don't need to set those.

    Hope this helps.

Pretty much if you are on a bes and have your outlook calendar shared, others can look at your calendar, see if you are busy or not and then schedule requests for appts for you accordingly.

Ahh... ok makes more sense now. Also, the reminder does it just do a normal ring or?

i just leave mine on busy. its just me, not for work. also, you can change the alert to anything you want...go into your profiles and click advanced....then click whatever profile you use, say it is "Loud"...then click Calendar....then click on Tune and you will get a list of what you can use to notify you. hope this helps.
    I don't know what I said, but I know what I think,
and, well, I assume it's what I said.

Those are standard time availability settings from Lotus Notes.
If you don't use BES, or your BES is not Lotus Notes, than these settings have no meaning to others.
