    1) My Pearl can last up to 2 days. I have an extended battery though.

    2) In Holster means that the holster you use has a sleeper mangnet that puts the phone to sleep (turns the screen off to maximize battery life). Out of Holster means the BB is not in a holster.

    3) There are many screen protectors out now. Some are just plastic sheets that you can stick on top of the screen. Some are incorporated into cases called open face cases.

battery life for my 32hr periods...i work and have my own business so it keeps me on a 32hr schedule...is around 26hrs of regular battery life...i almost always have to charge it via computer because i do do so much extra's on my BB...probably should get me and extended life for my pearl...so the use you're using you should have no problem using it for an entire day on a full charge

or check out the blackberry shop here on this web-site

    @ OP
Do you have blue tooth turned on? If you are using a full charge up every day with 5 calls something is draining your battery. As Erica posted you can use the in/out of holster settings to vary your notifications in your profile if you have a BB holster with the built in magnet. For a great skin and screen protector check out bestskinsever.com product.

    Re: pearl battery ..........

The extended battery isn't the same size. It is a little thicker and they send you a new battery door to accomodate the thicker battery. I was looking at buying one, but I didn't want to lose the slimness of my phone, either. So, I just bought an extra battery and when I know I am going to be out a lot and away from my PC or my car charger I take it with me just in case.

My battery lasts around 24 hours and I am on it all day long. It is flashing at me by the end of the day and daring me to send one more text message, visit one more website, or make one last phone call but it still has some juice in it.

    Re: pearl battery ..........

I'll add one more battery experience in here....

With data enabled, bluetooth disabled, and my phone set to sleep from 12:00am to 6:30am, my Pearl will last most of 2 days with data use, chat client use, text messages, and phone calls.

With data DISABLED, bluetooth disabled, and my phone set to sleep from 12:00am to 6:30am, my Pearl will last a little more than 3 days with regular use (text messages and phone calls, but no e-mail, becuase no data coverage)

this is coming from a 9 month old battery.

    Re: pearl battery ..........

I generally have about 50-60% charge remaining at the end of the day.

I make about 5-6 phone calls, browse the web, visit pinstack, etc. Also, numerous e-mails.

I also have my bb set to turn off at 12 midnight, back on at 8 am.

I have NO issues with the battery, as I could easily last two days between charges, but generally charge it each night.

ive had my battery last 5 days with constant use...its all about battery management... im a big fan of texting, but i also have my internet shut off...keeping the phone on standby really helps out a lot... or being in areas with high coverage...some days it barely last the full day...some days go by and i can't remember when i last charged it...play around with it and see what works best

There are 2 extended batteries. A slim extended battery and a regular size extended battery. Both are at www.seidioonline.com
