    Question Pearl 8130 Media question

Does anyone know the video media types that the Pearl 8130 supports? I've tried .mpegs, .avi, .VOB, .mkv, and I still have yet to find an extension that works. I just checked today for updates and there happen to be none. Anyone have a clue?

By the way, the Blackberries will take over the world. I believe it.

All the videos I download (i.e. podcasts, etc) convert the videos I want into .mp4 format I believe. All the rest don't work on mine.

I mainly just download all my videos from youtube (has most of the videos i want on there, somewhere). I use a free program called "FREE FLV Converter"

Converter can be downloaded at download.com at following link:

The videos i have in avi will play on my curve 4.2 and not on my pearl 4.3. The only thing that i have had any luck with is 3gp. Also, I cant load any apps on through the dm. I have the right version too. Its really pissing me off.

    Here you go devilsadidas....
    http://www.seabyrdtech.com/bbvideo

Another option (and simpler in my opinion) is to use the Roxio Media Manger built into DesktopManager 4.2 sp2 or 4.3. It will also convert your videos to a usable format and help you transfer them to your device.

On a side note Zaszolo you will need to add a media card if you plan on loading much in the way of music or videos - the device memory is rather paltry when it comes to this....and welcome to the stacks Zas!

thanks gary. and i will definitely look at the built in roxio converter, if it allows more encoding options i would definitely use it. seabyrd's converter is very functional but doesn't have any advanced features like changing the quality of the audio or video just aspect ratio and an audio booster
