What is it that you are trying to do when you get the hour glass?

Try a SoftReset....or a battery pull, I once had that darn hour glass pop up A LOT, and a SoftReset did the trick

Either that...or maybe you have too many things running in the background, you can check by holding Alt and pushing Escape Key (but continue holding Alt), from there you can scroll to see which apps are running in the background, and you can choose the one you want to close, when in the app, hit Menu>Close to make sure it won't be running

I agree with bee, but also I have noticed that depending on the theme i am running effects my hourglass speed. I'm not sure why but had deleted some themes I've downloaded because of the problem

    Amanda -

Make sure that your device memory is completely cleared. Make sure you have no pictures, ringtones, videos, etc. in the device memory. You need to clear your cache too. But I noticed that my phone ran much faster with the cache clearned and the device memory cleared. You wont lose your call logs, etc. Also, go to settings / status, and make sure that your "FILE FREE" bytes are 10 million plus. When your file free bytes are under 10 million, you get issues.

Well it happens all the time, when I try 2 make a call, text, emails, camera, ect. And I'm using the tmobile zen theme. And I just did a soft reset but haven't noticed a dif yet.. How do I delete my cache?

Browser cache is cleared by clicking the browser icon > Options > Cache operations.

    Hi Amanda -

Also, if you have the Pearl, you want to clear your event log by pressing alt+LGLG. When the event log pops up, press your menu key and clear the log. Pull your battery, keep it out for 30 seconds to a minute, replace your battery and you'll be good to go. This will free up the "file free" bytes too.
