    Password Lock...

I have a weird problem. I lost my Blackberry so I got a replacement, but this new one is weird. It came with a password lock and it's not the usual 1234. I finally figured it out, but now it won't let me disable the password lock. When I go to Option/Security, it's listed at ENABLED every 2 mins, but neither the ENABLE/DISABLE or the time can be changed (there's a tiny red "lock" icon next to those fields).

I never had that problem before with my old phone. How do I get to change those options?

    2. Also, I can't edit the "home page" of my Internet Browser. In fact, I don't have a Browser on the phone, just T-Zone.

    3. I can't input anything to the OWNER field -- nothing can be typed... it's as if the keyboard is locked or something, but I can back out of that and everything will work fine.

Other than that, it's great to have a Blackberry again. I missed it so much. Now I have to track down all my 3rd party programs and themes.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you are on BES it might be a new network setting. You may need to either wipe, or exchange it...

    Re: Password Lock...

Thanks... I figured it out. It was a BES phone and I wiped it and substitute with a policy.bin file. That part of the problem is fixed now.

But I still can't get the Internet Browser. I only have T-Zone -- which is okay -- I can still get to the Internet; it's just annoying that I have to go to T-Zone every time, and can't change the home page.

try resending your service books to get the browser back, I actually had to call TMO yesterday to get my browser back after switching SIM cards.
