Alright, so I've heard people are painting the curves, I was wondering if anyone can paint a pearl and what that would cost.

And also, how much do replacement cases usually cost?

I tried it with a sidekick, I sanded it good but when it came to the painting I ruined it. I eneded up having to buy a new housing for it. Housing usually runs between 20 to 50 depending where you get it.

Thank you for the site, I am in need of a new backing and sides to say the least, plus my screen is starting to get scratched. My poor pearl is so abused. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Buy one, apply it, never worry about scratching your BB again.

i painted my pearl and love
i frist painted it lime green and it was the limeberry now its bright blue so its the blue berry and cases run 15 bucks on ebay i was goin to paint that instead of the phone but w/e its my phone so i'll love even if it looks ****ed up...

and for step by step i went like this
1st grab your pearl simple ;/
2nd remove battery cover and little bottom peice that covers your mic. and may have a carrie logo on it mine sported the tmob one..
3rd grab some sandpaper and go to town a dermal is nice to use
    4th find a cute color.
5th paint the phone in two thin coats
6th i skiped a step cover the chorme camera flashly thinging with tape inless you want to f it up anyway

7th get a clear coat and apply two coats one after it dries and the other a day or two later..

8th dont touch it for atleast 5 hours or put in pocket i had to repaint it like 3 times for that

and what ever you do be proud that now if anyone steals your berry.. you can spot them talking on it...

and you do not have to use plastic paints i used bright blue automotive brake parts paint to match it to my car

the clear coat is the only thing reallly needed

that is how you get some balls and paint your pearl.... if all else fails paint it again ... and if that fails just buy a replacement case on ebay.

and i didn't remove the side chrome or any buttons i dont have fancy small tools.

    so just do it
