    OZ vs IM+

Can someone tell me the difference in the 2 programs. I did try OZ just because it was on my BB Pearl but could never get a response from a user after typing in AIM or Yahoo. They could receive my messages but I couldn't receive theres.

    Thanks..

    Jasen

    Welcome aboard.

    Here is my thoughts...

OZ is an application that requires no registration, but uses text messages instead of data.

IM+ requires a registration and costs money, but uses data so you dont worry about how much you are using it.

If anyone else has a better description join in.

    Thanks for the quick response.

So, using IM+ would be much faster in regards to messages over OZ?

Yes, and also the data IM programs (there are free ones, and others out there, you can find all the threads on here with people saying which they love) will give you your full buddy list instead of the limited mobile list you get from Oz. If you have an unlimited data plan and limited SMS messages, I would suggest IM+ or any other data IM program (to list a few, Yak-ON, ramble, IM+, Jivetalk...)

It comes with T-Mobile blackberries with a data plan (yes, it does use SMS to send/recieve the messages, but you need the data plan to get it). I dont know of any other situation you can get OZ in.

Jivetalk works. It's a beta version. But OZ works fine for me too.
