Are you using Windows XP, Vista, Mac OS? Have you successfully synced before? Have you done a battery pull and then tried to resync?

Post a little more information and it will be easier to troubleshoot your problem.

Do you have an error as to which contact is causing the issue? Does it error out each time with the same error?

Does the third contact have any special characters? Have u tried deleting that contact and resyncing. Then adding the contact back?

Was there anything you needed to correct that Cherri posted above? If you tell it not to sync the address book, does it go all the way through the sync process? If not, delete your desktop manager software, download the latest version of the Desktop Manager if you are not already using that and trying resyncing again.

Yeah I tried that also. I am thinking about first off backing up my device. Then maybe deleting my contacts from my device then trying a sync???

    popo,

The most likely cause of your issue is a corrupt file somewhere (unfortunatly there is more than one possibility) Here is a rather lengthy set ot resolutions from Blackberry Technical Support for you to try. Some of them are a bit technical. If you are not comfortable poking around in the hidden files and deleting, using advanced tabs in your app's etc, post back and I will try to walk you through it. Keep us updated!

Could it be something in my phone? Is there a way to reset my phone erase all the data and start from new? It seems as it is coming from the device so would resetting my phone be an issue?

    Could be. Try this:
    1. Connect the BlackBerry device to the personal computer.
    2. In Desktop Manager, double-click the Backup and Restore icon.
    3. Click Advanced.
    4. From the Handheld Databases list box, click the application database (for example, Calendar, Tasks) that you were configuring when the error message appeared.
    5. Click Clear.
    6. Click Close>Close.
