Wow, that's going to make a lot of Rogers People happy, I personally cannot believe they release .37 though. Great find!

So does this mean Tmo US will soon follow? And another side question...when I do a backup, is that all I need to do? I mean, will that put 4.3 back on if I do restore? Or is there a different way of saving the current OS that's on my 8120?~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

No a backup using Desktop Manager will only backup your databases (Tasks, Email Options, Messages, SMS,Pins, etc) If you wish to backup your current OS for your blackberry, please ensure you have the actual device software .msi or .exe before you proceed.

And I can save that off of the Tmo website correct?

I have a spare 8120 to "play" with - I'm going to give this thing a try. IF it's as problem-prone as what I've read says, I won't be using it long. I'll post back if any miracles occur. I'll probably post back if they don't too.

Yes, please let us know! I'd love to upgrade (I want Documents to Go!) but not if there are going to be issues - esp. with the camera as I use mine a lot for work...

Well I hope the .37 works with the camera for 8120. Useless on the 8100.

Here's my initial report - I downloaded without problem and I have verified the both the still and video camera work without any issue for me - I haven't had time to really work over all the functions but I will as I can, keep a list and will post back.

Can someone make this a sticky, as the two versions sticky'd for the 8120 currently are well out of date and we have already had atleast 2 other versions posted in this section that dissapeared onto (or beyond) page 2.

As for this 4.5, all seems to work nicely here. Although much testing hasent really been done aside from normal day to day type usage so far.

No need to unlock your device to use this OS, or wait for TMO. If you wish to install this on your TMO 8120, all that is needed is to delete the vendor.xml file after you install the OS on your desktop. There is a link to a How To upgrade thread in MyBlog if you need more help.

You guys are so lucky. 4.5 for GSM devices, seems like no light at the end of the tunnel for CDMA users!
