Not sure...you may want to reload the OS or upgrade.

I'm running the v4.2.1.107 OS, latest from Tmo.
    Perhaps it is the OS?
Also, I don't think the Pearl is equiped with GPS unfortunately, so it may just be an item on the menu.

It doesn't have it natively but you can still connect to a GPS puck through bluetooth. So you should still have the option.

    Oh, I see...
I don't have a GPS puck. I think I'll go for a car equipped with navigation built it.

I read from a few posted and they( or he/she) stated they configured with their GPS setting under advancing option, thus leading to the proper operation of mapquest nav. I have the Nokia puck and it works fine with BB map and google. I'm just trying to figure out how to make it work for me. I'm still learning about my pearl. Thanks for the input everyone. I'll go search some more...

Hey DesertBlade, I'm still having problems with starting up mapquest nav (deal with pairing issues after I can start the darn application ). I added the APN:wap.voicestream.com and it I'm still having "network error". Could you or someone link me to the post on how to make this work? Thanks again.

You may have to go under:

Options->advanced Options->Applications Find mapquest, click on it.

Click menu and Edit permissions And allow it to connect to Carrier Internet (you may need to expand it)

Lately I have been having noo success getting Mapquest to connect to anything via bluetooth. I will see if I can find the post.
