    Opera Mini---Vs Black Berry Browser

Ok...I just downloaded the opera mini yesterday and I love it. Can I remove the internet browswer that came on my phone? If so...how? I know that I have to change the browser settings somewhere on the phone (APN?) but where?

    Thanks

Sasha, if you have Opera working, then your APN settings should be all set. I would recommend leaving the Internet Browser on your Blackberry. You might need it and it's always good to have around.

Opera Mini isn't really a true browser. it doesn't download/save pictures and other files on its own. when you click and attempt to it will ask for your BB Browser.

At first I loved Opera Mini as well, however whenever I try to download ANYTHING nothing happens, it just...DOESNT download, I dont see how so many people can like a browser that doesnt have the capability of downloading something. (When I go to download, and then hit the "yes" button for whatever it is im downloading, it just goes right back to the previous screen, god its frustrating) Am I the only one this happens to? I thought it was widespread for everyone...

My thoughts exactly. And it takes like, 40 pages to get through my myspace profile. I got rid of it.

It works fairly well for me, I think it varies on the user. My pages generally are not large, but due to heavy java sites, and a lot of secure sites that I surf, the bb browser just can't cut it. But opera gets the job done!! Well @ least for me

I agree it sucks that Opera can't download by itself.

Although on mine when I choose something to download using OperaMini I get a confirmation screen showing Filename, Size and Warning(browser needs to exit to download continue?). I click 'yes' then another pop-up Opera Mini is attempting to invoke the browser. Continue? Click 'yes' again the BBBrowser download screen appears and I can dl no problem from there.

I'm running OperaMini 3.1.7196 and still have the BBBrowser installed.

I have Opera Mini, but my default is still the BB browser.....the main one I use is Opera because pages just look better.
