    One Dead Berry

    Hey All....

I installed OS 4.5 on my 8100, still a has one to many bugs for me. Never the less, I had to downgrade.
I ran JL_Cmder, since then when I try to recover the OS, I have error "507" and "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have
Blackberry Device Software for the device that
you have connected to the computer. Contact
your wireless service provider or system administrator."

If anyone can help me out please, I don't know how else to restore this berry!!!

Did you install the older OS back on your PC?

SO the things you need are the DM and which ever OS you want and delete the Vendor file if applicable.

Open up your DM and then plug in your BB and then it should start the process of loading the OS.

    I also tried http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...uter_wont.html
No dice, it continues to give me this error no matter what I try..

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~perhaps try downloading and installing the latest version of desktop manager? Restart your computer and keep the battery out of your BB initially.

    Hey guys,
Just an update..I finally got the OS back on the unit (thanks nelsong) but now I notice why the 4.5 is unstable, if you toy with the blackberry.alx file (open themes) it will set the phone off into reboot land.
    Just a heads up all!!
