pretty excited...i posted that in my blog as well. its about time but at least its official....i have to do som research because t-mobile was also making some "updated" statements about the 8320 curve running 4.5 OS so I don't know if it's a re launch of the 4.5 OS or a newer version which should be up on the 13th as well.

No kidding. I've been waiting it seems forever, using other carrier updates. The last update I used made my phone so laggy at times. It would literally freeze up for 10-15 seconds sometimes. Installed this release and my phone works as clean as it did the day I bought it, but with the upgrades of 4.5.

    Does the 4.5 support a 16 G card?

Will the Tmobile 4.5 upgrade allow me to use a 16G card? Thanks

Does anyone know if the old school Pearl 8100 will be supported with the 8120 release on T-Mo? Still using the Romani update...and I can relate on the lag piece...

If the update is 4.5.0.81 or above (and I will bet it is) you will indeed have support for up to a 16GB card. Below that the limit is 8GB.

The 8120 OS will not work on the 8100. They are device specific. Now will they also release for the 8100? That just depends on t-mobile. I wouldn't count on it.

If I have Rogers 4.5 currently, do I need to wipe os from the phone or can I just update to the tmo version?

Depends on which version of 4.5 Rogers is running as to whether you can easily upgrade. Personally, I was having bad lag issues with many of the other 4.5's out there, so I went back to T-Mo's 4.3 and then upgraded to their 4.5. Since then, my phone's worked fantastically.
