    Not receiving MMS's (T-Mobile)

I am not sure how many other Pearl users with T-Mobile are having this problem, but I'm not able to receive MMS's. I'll receive the message notification but when I open it up, there's nothing in there. Anyone have any idea or fix suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The blank MMS is an issue that has not been resolved. Not exactly sure what causes it.

I did. I see that I have a message, but when I open it up...it's blank.

That is the case with all MMS's that I receive. I called up T-mobile, they made me remove the thing in the service books, then add it...and then they sent a test message which was received...but after that I still don't get anything. I've asked a couple people to send to my phone and it's the same thing. I get a blank MMS.

What OS are you running? Are you running JiveTalk or anything else that uses your TCP connection?

    Re: Not receiving MMS's (T-Mobile)

Nah, no JiveTalk. The OS is the same as when I purchased the phone 2 months ago from T-Mobile. Nothing has been changed. The very first time I tested an MMS being received, I didn't get it for hours...but it came through.

Since then however...all MMS's are just blank. The only thing that came through was a T-Mobile test message they sent after re-registering the service book. After that...once again...blank MMS.

Well you can update your OS and see if that helps, other than that I'm not sure what it could be. It's happened once with me, although I don't really get many MMS.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~i don't know if this helps but go into options, mms then unclick reject anonymous messages.

If that doesn't work, make sure that in Options--->MMS--->Automatic Retrieval is set to "Always".

    Re: Not receiving MMS's (T-Mobile)

    Nah, that didn't help either.

It's weird. I'm not sure how many other Pearl users on T-Mo are having this issue, because I have heard it's an issue with Blackberry.

But I would have thought there'd be a fix so users can actually receive MMS's.

I might be reaching for straws here but, is there a "1+Area Code" in front of your contact numbers. I remember one of the PDA Techs saying this to me.... Give TMo a call. Remember to say "Blackberry" on the automated menu prompt, it gets you through faster.

    Re: Not receiving MMS's (T-Mobile)

Well when I called T-Mo earlier, they made me remove the MMS service book, and then they sent it again.

They sent one test message...it was a blank MMS...tried another one, and that received fine.

I have tried a few times to sent an MMS to myself, and still empty. Weird issue.

    Re: Not receiving MMS's (T-Mobile)

You may just want to upgrade your OS. The original TMO OS isn't very good. That is my recommendation. I just sent myself 2 MMS and received both so I don't think it's the network.

    Good Luck

Do you happen to have the link to the thread regarding the OS upgrade? Also, will anything be lost on this phone such as address book, and all other txts?

    Re: Not receiving MMS's (T-Mobile)

which one do you want to upgrade to?]

No as long as you backup everything will be saved. Also it backs up your info when updating too. I back up before just in case something goes wrong in the install, better safe than sorry.
