    Not liking Cingular right now

Is there any way to show my dislike for Cingular by changing the network name myself to something like "Cingular stinks" (I know this is a family used site, so I'll keep it clean for now). I don't need any upset mommies.

Or possibly remove it all together from my screen. They don't pay me to advertise for them, especially since they are having "mystery issues" in Washington, D.C.

I should have EDGE, I am only getting edge. Huge delays in email. Slow as all get out. Cingular says it is only in sections of DC. We'll see when I get home to VA later tonight.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~im sure whatever the issue is, cingy will try to resolve it. If not, then I recommend switching.

It's been too much lately. My Company may be changing anyway. Too many issues with dropped calls. Hey who needs to talk in the Nations Capital any way?

Trying to build networks as large as these is not easy. There are going to be isolated problems. No one carrier is perfect. You have to go with the one that has the best coverage and service in your area, noting that it may change in the future. I'm not sticking up for them, just stating that the technology is still evolving.

I agree with all of the above but we are talking about a major metropolitan city that only measures 68 square miles of nothing but asphalt, and happens to be the residence of the leader of the free world here. If we can put people on the moon, integrate peanut butter and jelly into one lonely little jar, and have polar bears live on tropical islands, we should be able to have solid coverage. Just my 2 cents.

I live in arizona. I only had problems with cingular. I went through four of the same phones and got the run around everytime i talked to CS. I did talk to some very helpful people but of course i got nothing but trash in the mail each time. my bill was outrageous each month ($300+) let me remind you thats monthly.... anyway i moved onto t-mobile and can say its possibly the best service i have ever had. imo
thanks for letting me get it out... again.

Lol fewest dropped calls.. I agree also that there's no perfect network..

I'm tmobile, not that good for me, awesome customer service though, reception is bad at a lot of places.. But hey their plans fit on my budget scale.

Re: Not liking Cingular right now

Every company is going to have different coverage density in different areas. Here in Dallas, T-Mobile and Cingular service has always been pretty bad. I've always had great service with Sprint. I know Verizon has good coverage here to.

I think if you're not happy with the service you get, you should switch. If you find another provider with better service now, you can always give your old provider another shot later down the road if there is some great feature you really like.
