    NOOBBEE has a question......standby/keylock

I consider myself a phone junkie...but this is my first Blackberry...and I am loving this experience. Please excuse my ignorance.....

I still don't really understand the main difference between when and why I would put in standby vs keylock. Secondly, I noticed by chance that when I put it in standby and put the phone in the case I got from Tmobile (specifically for the pearl...I guess) and take the phone out, it comes out of standby automatically. So I decided to see what happens inside the case without putting it in standby...(concerns with accidental calls) I repeately tried to push the button while in the case, and nothing happened. Took the phone out and it's ready....wow....I know that the magnet is doing something. So this means I don't have to do anything to the phone, just put it inside the case...right?

Don't understand this thing about the holster in regards to blackberry. even in the settings it differentiates between non-holster and holster.

I hope I'm making sense...I tried to shorten my statements......

thank you guys...really learning a lot.

    Hi and welcometo the stacks!
So this means I don't have to do anything to the phone, just put it inside the case...right?
Correct, the magnet sort of makes your blackberry go into "low power" mode.
It turns your screen off and key lock. It saves battery
non-holster and holster. - Non holster mode means when is not inside the holster. You can set your profiles different when its inside the holster and when it's not.
Let us know if this helps!
