    no message tone when I get a new email

    I have four email accounts set up on my 8100, and the first one I registered, the main one I use, doesn't play a tone when i receive a new email. All the other addresses do play a tone. I checked for all the basics, like the volume and everything, so it's not that. Any help? Thanks.

    Did you make sure its just set to tone rather than vibrate + tone?

    Check your profile settings specifically for your emails by going to:

    Profiles>Advanced>Highlight profile>Menu>Edit>Select email to change alert

    Is it an email through a third party app like the Gmail app? Or directly on your BIS account?

    @ Brooke
    the only thing that I can think to do is change the settings to level 1 messages, which I can only assume is my main email address, as the address itself doesn't show up under profiles>advanced>normal>

    So you do receive emails to that one normally like the other ones you have, except no alert tone/vib is set? Is that right?

    try re-sending yourself your service books and registering with the network through host routing table and are if that helps.

    For service books:
    Go to your service provider's site andlog in. Find the set up internet email link and you can send the service books from there.

    For host routing table:
    Go to options>advanced>host routing table>highlight bold characters>menu>register.

    See if that helps your email show under the profiles menu.
