    New Phone, New Error?

    Well after a year, my old pearl got jacked.... So got a new one and now my email wont work. My data plan is still there and the browser and maps work fine, but now I don't receive email, and when I send it it says "Transaction error - failure at service" Any help from yall would be awesome... Oh and I already tried resending the service books and all that good stuff.

    When the old one got jacked, did your carrier/BIS/BES do something to shut down your email for security purposes?

    Okay...if this is an email account that's pushed to your BB, then try deleting it and re-adding it.....

    You may need to go to your Providers BIS set up page (where you set up your email accounts)and enter your PIN / IMEI in the Change Device section.

    Thanks bee...I really think he just needs to register his new device with the BIS. This is a common issue when you change devices - the system does not just follow the SIM card for emails - it needs to be told where to send.

    Gary is more than likely correct. You always have to update the IMEI/PIN associated with the BIS Account. If you go through the setup email on the new BB, it is sometimes automatically updated and sometimes not.

    Always good to go in and check to make sure.
