Thank you. I went back to SP1 because of Roxio. I will try this dm without the Roxio.

Yep, its Sky TV in the UK and an application for the blackberry which allows you to remotely set programs to record on your sky box (or TIVO equivalent in the US). It worked fine in the old version but not at all in the new version! I like th new white theme but may have to downgrade again to get this working (which should verify it is the new operating system that is the problem). If it is the new operating system then it could possibly effect other applications. If there are any other UK Sky users here please post your findings so I can see if it is generic or specific to me.

I didn't realize that moving to a non-provider OS could void my warranty! If I switch back to an approved OS, is my warranty OK or can they tell/track what OSs I've loaded? This is mainly out of curiosity since I'm not planning to switch back unless I start having problems - since it's too late now anyway

They honestly should not be able to tell. But if you are unsure, wiping the device and starting from scratch should do it for you.

Re: New Pearl OS: 4.2.1.101 Multi-Language

Okay, so I have had the new OS for a few days now and all my old problems with the Rogers OS have finally disappeared. I am liking this new OS more and more as time goes on. Initially I had problems with the voice quality with my Jabra JX10 but that problem is now completely gone. In fact the sound quality is superb with no distortion. I love it!!!!
The other really irritating problem I had with the Rogers OS was that My Pearl would disconnect in the middle of a call. In the course of a long conversation this would happen 2 or 3 times. Very irritating. Thankfully, thats gone. Two thumbs up to this OS for these reasons. I highly recommend it!!!

Re: New Pearl OS: 4.2.1.101 Multi-Language

I have an unlocked T-Mo 8100 on Cingular previously runnin .96 .. I downloaded the new OS(.101) last night, got rid of the vendor.xml and installed it. Everything went fine and things looked normal at the end. This morning I noticed a "sim card rejected" message. It scared the hell outta me .. i did a 'soft-reset' and thankfully it registered back onto the Cingular network. I hope I didn't mess up any of my settings in the upgrade (esp the unlocked setting) .. anyone else come across this? Could it be a issue with the new OS or freak accident ??

Unfortunately scoope there does not seem to be a direct method to do this with a mac yet .. i guess the easiest would be to find a pc or you would need to create a virtual pc environment on your mac ..
