    The only advanatages that I see is that you would be running an updated os.
    Updates include bug fixes, new features, etc..
    Let me stressed the word USUALLY..
    Experienced members should know what I mean by that..

    none its just a newer version of the os they are all made by rim
    Just Delete the Vendor.xml file in
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

    Yea I'm still running off the old os. Cons are, lag time, track ball issues here and there. The plus side is, I get to control my auto dim. Ill most likely update my info when I pick up my 2nd bb. But for right now, I'm happy wher I'm @!!

    stupid question but how do you control the auto dim. I know I'm probably passing over it in the options, but it's starting to frustrate me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    the auto dim feature was removed thanks to the new OS upgrade. it's just plain gone.

    Well I've got my fingers crossed, now if you cross yours, that should pretty much guarantee we'll see it come back in the next OS update. Right???
