    Hello,

Can you tell me why removing the media card before upgrading is important?

(I'm in the middle of an upgrade right now, left my card in wasn't aware, hopefully it will be ok?)

I don't know what it is exactly but upgrading the OS with the memory card in seems to cause a world of headaches for the BB owner. Ive upgraded my OS 3 times within about the last 3 weeks and did a clean wipe re install today and NEVER had an issue because i always remove my SD.

    Hey Guys,
Please don't do what I did; I was way too insinstant on 4.5! I followed every step, to the letter. I cautiously did all, from "cr-berry.com", that I read. Thank God the tech people at BB knew how to get my device, along with my having just done a complete back-up, we got my "dead" phone, back!

In many cases, the upgrade will corrupt data on the card, causing your device to get stuck in a perpetual boot cycle. It doesn't happen all the time, but if it does happen to you, just remove the card, dump its contents to your PC and reformat the card in the device. Then you should be able to reload the card and be good to go

This phone rocks, and once you figure how to use it, you confidance level with using the phone rises, and you got tons of different options! via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

you probably have color pearl installed, it does not work with the 4.5 OS, thus it will have to uninstalled

    Question

Do you know if there is a newer version of the colorpearl app that is compatible with the 4.5 on the 8100?

Aye, bajanbastard is correct, Blingball is the thing to get if you have an 8100 and had the colorpearl on your device.
