    I have had my Pearl 8100 since December and I am a hardcore addict. Right away when I got my Pearl, I set up my school email address - worked fine, always forwards to my BB. I just graduated from college now and started working full-time, and tried to add my new work email address also to my Pearl. I did everything correctly, and I know it is linked up because I can SEND messages from my Pearl FROM the new account and people get the messages no problem. HOWEVER - any emails that get sent to my new address are NOT being forwarded to my Pearl.

    My new work email account is used via Outlook on my work PC. ALSO, my manager has an older BB model and has his email address linked up with his handheld - works fine. We both logged into T-mo website and our settings are identical. Certainly seems like it should be working. I'm pretty tech-savvy, but have no idea why my messages might not be forwarding and don't know how to troubleshoot this.

    Any help would be great! I really need to get this address linked up because it's for work. Thank you.

    Not to sound simplistic but, you are leaving your Desktop Manager open on your work computer when you are away?

    If you do not have the Desktop Manager installed it will not forward your email. Install the software on your work computer, leave the Manager and Redirector running and it should start sending you your mail. You can set it up to hide when minimized so you won't even really know it is there.

    Is this specific to Microsoft Outlook? I didn't have to use DM to configure anything related to my currently-linked email address. I will give it a shot - thank you for your help.

    This was the information relayed to me from the Tech when I first started up. I also use Microsoft Outlook for my work email. I do not know if it is specific, but it works for me!

    Ah...I hadn't been familiar with Redirector at all, and I see how this works now. I set it up and it's forwarding my messages. However, my manager who also has Outlook messages forwarded to his BB said he tried Redirector at first, didn't like it, and doesn't use it anymore...? And he's not sure how he set up what he is currently using.

    He didn't like Redirector because if either your computer, Outlook, or Redirector are off, messages aren't delivered or forwarded. So if there's a power failure or the computer crashes or anything, so much for that. It seems like perhaps he has it set to forward from Outlook webmail, if one can do such a thing...?

    I'd rather not use Redirector if possible, and just have messages auto-forwarded to my BB via the internet. Any thoughts/ideas are appreciated.

    Check your settings in Outlook for the account you are not getting emails from. Is it set to "leave messages on the server"? If not - outlook is likely snagging them before your BB. I had that problem and could not fidure out what was wrong - it made me nuts! Also - there is a good Knowlege Base article on email trouble on the RIM page:

    I will try this also as I am a teacher and there is a chance my computer will be disabled during the summer. Thanks for the added information!
