Need Of Fast Help
hey u guys about a minute ago my trackball fell out somewhere and i cant find it....so i need a way to get around through my phone without the trackball so that i can save my contacts to my sim card...so how can i do that...and also is there a way to save all of my contacts to my sim card in one shot...any help would be appreciated
in your unfortunate situation the only thing i can think of that you can do is get a toothpick and tie a rubber band around the tip and use it to move the little black rolls that contact the track ball.
no its not the ball itself its the whole trackball assembley....and also is there a way i can transfer all of my numbers to my computer??
The best way to save your contacts would be to use the Desktop Manager to both back them up to your PC and to Sync to either one of the compatible PIMs or to a Comma separated ASCII file. None of these options need a track ball.

How could you lose the whole assembly? Without trackball, press first letter of what's in the menu you want and it will go to that item in menu.
LOAD PHONE BOOK
Open address book. Menu. Click SIM Phone Book. Wait for it to load, click escape.
COPY CONTACTS TO SIM
Open address book. Select a contact. Highlight their phone #. Menu key. Select Copy To SIM Phone Book. Menu key. select Save.
Hehe its like navigating on a PC with a dead mouse or bad trackpad (the latter is on my laptop)

You need to set up sync with the BB to an ASCII file. With the BB connected to your PC and Desktop Manager open, Select Syncronize/Configure Sync/ASCII. follow the hints from there.
