    Need Help Setting up E-mail

Ok so I have had e-mail on my Pearl for a couple months now. I just decided to add my other 2 accounts to my gmail account so I would get my e-mail faster. Well I hope to get it faster..

I realized that my hotmail account is not able to be added because you have to pay an annual fee for that. However I did add my AOL account to my gmail account.

I am really confused by all the settings on gmail, and I've done a lot of searching and I can't seem to get it to work right. Right now I am not receiving any email on my Pearl. It just comes in to my gmail account on my computer.

The settings that I currently have on my gmail account is: Disabled POP and forwarding. Enabled IMAP.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Which do you want? IMAP or POP?

GMail is auto-set to enable POP when configuring with a BB, so you will have to change it to IMAP settings.

    Lauren,

You need to create your account and log in to your AT&T BIS page and set up your email accounts there...
    http://www.wireless.att.com/business.../bis-login.jsp

There is also a gmail application you can install on your BB if you prefer...read more about that here:

I'm not sure. I just want all my e-mails pushed to my BB. Right now IMAP is Enabled. POP is disabled.

    IMAP sucks.

    Get rid of it.

Log into your gmail and enable pop, disable IMAP.

Then log into your BIS and reset up your GMAIL account and it should be good to go.

Thanks for both of your responses. I don't want a gmail app. I just wanted pushed email which is what I had before I am just trying to get my mail faster, and right now I can't get it to work at all.

I am creating an account on AT&T BIS page right now, however I am not looking to make another email I just want my AOL and Gmail to be pushed on my phone and have AOL be synced with Gmail.

    Wow. Now that's a lot.

Why not just set up AOL and GMAIL both on your BlackBerry?

Do you mean set them both up on the AT&T BIS page? Instead of syncing AOL with GMAIL?

Re: Need Help Setting up E-mail

Thanks for all of the responses. Sorry for the confusion, but I realized that my AOL and GMAIL accounts are already set up on the BIS page. I did this when I got my BB.

I have been receiving pushed e-mail on my BB until I tried to sync everything. Now I am not receiving any emails on my BB.

What do you mean "you tried to sync everything"? Can you post more details of what you did?
