Welcome Spark. You shouldn't even have to load the TMO software on your phone to ge My faves to show up. this will happen once you have a MyFaves account with TMO, If you are missing things form the phone, a rload of the OS maybe in order though., Or you can try a Wipe. If you try the Wipe first make sure you do a selective back up NOT a full back up. In back up and restore, click advanced and coppy your address book and calander. Browser bookmarks, Messages if you MUST, but clean them out as much as possible first. Then do your wipe and a selective restore.

Just so we are clear, ANY OS can run the MyFaves, I ran TIM Italy on my Pearl with My Faves, the Myfaves comes form the TMO server. Now If you want to reload the OS, go to http://www.t-mobile.com/bbupgrade you will see all the BB TMO sells, if you look under some of the Newer ones there are instructions for upgrading the OS. Make sure you Uninstall what ever you put on the PC for the other carrrier, you will also have to delete the Vendor.xml file before installing to the phone.

    I hope this helps

    Good advice,

I wonder why the OS upgrade is sometimes so complicated though..

Lots of times logging into your BIS account and resending the service books will restore those programs.
