So, we have a 14 year old with both a Pearl and an Iphone. I have twin daughters that are 11 years old and I did just buy them cell phones for their birthday, but there is no way I would entrust them with $1200 worth of electronic equipment to lose or have stolen.

I know parents should spoil their kids, as I do the same with mine, but where does it stop?

I'm not sure that parents should "spoil their kids"... I happen to feel it's important to teach kids the value of money.

I send my kids to a private school, they're 6 and 8, and one of their classmates gets the latest and greatest cell phones every couple of months.

Unfotunately, her parents are divorced, and I believe they are trying to win her affections by buying her every new gadget that comes out!

Personally, I think they're creating a brat, but I digress...... (she threw a fit when she couldn't get an expensive stuffed animal, when we took her with us to a local amusement park, then insisted on calling her mother, who told her she could get the stuffed animal. I, on the other hand, had simply told her to "get stuffed"...)

Ok please get back on track. GotPearl, thanks for giving us your review. Unfortunately others have decided to hijack your hard work in lieu of their societal opinions. Please only comment on her review? Thanks so much!

Re: My video review Iphone vs. pearl

Would love to see a comparison of the iPhone with the upcoming 8320 about to be released. Seeing it'll have an updated OS (soon with streaming media) as well as be on more level playing field with the iPhone as to media features. I mean, it's not too surprising that you'd convert to an iPhone from a pearl.. it runs circles around the pearl in the consumer features department and i've seen some pretty fast full qwerty touch screen action from friends with it.

Any chance of you scoring an 8320 when it drops for review against the iphone?

You're becoming like the local BG of pinstack, lol.
