Yeah it has been supported pretty much as long as I have had my pearl.

I don't really mess with wma files that much. Are they significantly smaller than MP3's?

WMA has better compression which gives you better quality for the size of the file compared to mp3. I'm not sure if you will notice TOO MUCH of a difference by converting all your mp3's to wma files, though.

    My Pearl plays WMA files

At which software release did this start? No longer need to convert to MP3 hallelujah.

How did you load the wma file, if you don't mind my asking? I understand that the new media manager (SP2) will seemlessly convert audio files to the correct format for the BBs when you drag it to the BB side. Not that I'm doubting you. But I'm just curious if it actually plays wma files or if it was the new media manager.

I guess krazed, got it to work also about 3 weeks ago.
Not sure how, but it must be something to do with the newer OS's

i dunno what OS version this starts at... but you can bypass the media manager and simply drag&drop the files over to your berry in windows, provided you have enabled mass storage... your berry's microSD card should show up as a drive in 'my computer'

It definitely wasn't the new Media Manager. I've had them (.wma) on the Pearl since before TIM/Telstra OS came out.
