    My First Blackberry

This is my first Blackberry device, and I am very excited as well as confused on how the device work. Well let me tell you about my past phones and the reason why I bought this Pearl 8130. In the past I had regular phones like samsungs, motorola, and LG, nothing sophisticated--just phone so I can talk. But now that I travel alot and doing alot of business with the stock market, and services industry I upgrade to a cellphone that will provide me that feature. So, that's how I got into the Blackberry Pearl 8130.

I heard from several people that this blackberry can download songs, ringtones, run applications (words, excel, powerpoint), watch t.v, or video, change os systems and etc...is it true. If it is, how?

I can answer the first 2.

    1. No, the 4.3 OS will only support a 6gb memory card
    2. For songs you can check out Limewire, just google it. And for ringtones we got some here http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...ringtones.html

Sorry mac14x but that is incorrect.. the 8130 will support up to an 8GB micro SD card. Currently it will only go up to that.

    Re: My First Blackberry

    Afternoon all.
I just picked my 8130 (Sprint) yesterday and was cracking out on it all night. Mighty fine phone.
I figure I'd do a slight thread hijack instead of a new one. One question I have before I go searching about. I have a media file set as a ringtone+vibate and when I have a incoming call, it vibrates and after a long pause it rings.

Is this common when using media as a ringtone?

Thanks again and my apologies for the hijacking.

    Josh

No, it's common when you use vibe & ring. Ringtone doesn't matter.

    Good luck!!
