what file types are they?
I have my songs downloaded to my pearl (actually on my card). The problem is I cant see them in the media player. I can only view/play them when I explore the card and play them that way. What do I need to do to get the player to notice them. And, YES, they are in the music folder...on Media card. Help Please!!!
what file types are they?
i had that problem when i synced with windows media player. i stopped doing that and now just add the files the the memory card without syncing and now everything shows up without going into explore
Not sure I'm understanding your question..........???????
okay, they are mp3 songs. Okay, I can explore my card and see the songs. But when I want to go to the media player and play them, etc, they are not there. It would be the equivilent of having in your my docs but not showing up on windows media player (on your computer). It is really weird. It is like i need the player to go and "check for" new songs loaded on the phone. Hopefully that clarifys the question.
Okay...so you can see your MP3's,
But can you click on them and play them??
how did you import them onto your device??
Are they under Media>Music>MediaCard..????
or under Media>Options>Explore..???
Its your card unfortunately. I had the same prob when i had a 2gb card in my phone. When I upgraded to a 4gb, I was expecting to have the same issue, but wala....all the songs I could not see in media on my 2gb card, I could now see on my 4gb. It didn't bug me too much cause I actually started to like using the explore version better than going through the media player itself. So now with my new card where it shows all of my music in the media player, I still use the explore function to play my stuff.

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, some1 said 2 thmslvs "U knw, I really want 2 set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close engh to get the job done".
i had the same problem and it ended up being the card.
Well I haven't had this issue..I guess those who have, could help out better!!...I use xPlayer, I'm not too fond of the built in Media-Player
my music is kept in my shared folder because i use limewire. when i plug in my phone i just click open files when it pops up. then i just drag and drop the songs i want into the folder from the folder they are stored in. its not the memory card. its the sync. mine did this with windows media. now it doesnt.
Tell me about X Player. Where do you get it? How Much? Can it pull up PICS, VIds, etc like the stock BB player? Do you think if i go to XPlayer, I wont have to get a new card. FYI...mine is the 2GB too. WOnder if it is a problem with 2's.
You can download xPlayer here, and its free.....you can use it to play your videos and music, you can set playlists and its supports other videos formats (other than just AVI), you can't use it view photo's......and I'm not sure if it'll help you with your card issue!
But I hope this helps!!
Here is the info on what xPlayer can do for you.....here
what format should I put movies on...Divx PDA, what?
