If you go to "rip" or "copy from cd" option on your WMP and at the top click Tools/Options and chance the output format to mp3. Encode the songs and send them to your pearl. The easiest way for the beginners

For a video file to work on your pearl u'll need to convert it to an .avi or any other that are supported on pearl. Check out this thread, it tells alot about encoding and gives a link to a website for a free software to encode videos right to your pearl for free. http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...ng_8100_a.html

    Re: multimedia on 8100!

I tried using the Media Manager to transfer songs from my PC to the Pearl, but it's really weird. First, it says the device memory contains 14.0MB of free space left, but I can only load a 2.71MB mp3 song...if I try to add more songs, it'll say "not enough memory"...????

Then I removed that song to replace with another song, but afterwards there is always an error message:

"An error occurred transferring 'My BlackBerry/C:\Users\(My Name)\Shared\(my song title).mp3 to the BlackBerry device. An error occurred while communicating with the BlackBerry device. (Unknown)."

So basically now I can't load ANY song to my pearl =(
Can someone help me fix this problem please? I haven't got a clue...Thanks a lot!

Iamanoob, Do you have a micro SD media card in your Pearl ??

The device memory would only hold some ringtones !!

    Get a 1Gb card or better still a 2Gb one !!

OK...I solved that problem (with the help of a 1GB card) and now I can play music and videos. Thanks, gazar. One more question...when I use SUPER to encode my videos, it would play fine on the BB but there would INITIALLY be some green patches on the screen (lasts for a few seconds, varies with each video file). Has this ever happened to some else before? Thanks ahead!
