MP3 help - Unable to put music on Media Card

I purchased the SD 1g and formated. When I go into "media manager" on my computer I was able to drag songs from "my music" to "my blackberry/media card/music". I can see the songs are being copied but when I look on my phone there is nothing there. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

When open the Media App on the Pearl, It should come up with an folder "Music" click on that, then Click on Media Card. Do you not see the songs you loaded there? What do you see when you open the Media Card?

After I open "media card" the only thing I see is the "up" folder. No songs.

When I open my desktop, I open "media card". Then there is a "blackberry" folder which I open; this then opens to "music", "ringtones", "pictures" and "videos" folders. When I open "music" it shows the 2 songs I dragged into it. They are "MPEG 4 Audio Files". Could that be the problem? Are they in the wrong format? Tx.

I believe they should be mp3 format.

    Try a different format.

Ugh! I have no idea how to change the format. Is it complicated?
