    parts of mp3's yes
    the whole song, no...

    and you are limited to size without the sd card

    i do. i usually don't use the whole song though. i cut out the best part that i want to hear as my ringer. i use a program to shrink the size of it so it won't take up as much, and then throw it over to by BB through the desktop manager.

    Oh ok sounds good, my 1st BB pearl I only had a day and I found it was defective and I get my new one soon and was wondering if I had just messed it up putting a mp3 on their or something. Guess it was just really defective

    yeah, must have been defective. but as cherrichiodo points out, should def get a sd card before you put mp3 ringers on there. while you can (to a limit), don't want those taking up the phone's memory.

    I use a program called audacity to cut and create ringtones. It works out very well~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    mp3? Sure I use them.
    Mostly intro or solo, but in any case instrumental part of song, longest is 43 sec solo excerpt from live recording of "Lazy" by Deep Purple

    I use Xingtone to create them. It is for Mac. It costs but I rally like it.
