you should use itunes for fast high quality converting to mp3. all you do is drop the file in itunes and it should ask you to convert to mp3. If it doesnt and ask you to convert to AAC. go to edit preference, Advanced, Importing and change to MP3 and what quality. ITS FAST and easy. find the converted files in My Music

I would stay under 128 bitrate as well...Why?? I dunno I just seemed to be able to play my songs alot easier, hmm maybe it's all in my head!

I would tend to agree on the bitrate thing. There's no sense in having a super high quality music file that takes up space if it's on a phone that's probably not even capable of reproducing it exactly through a tiny speaker or headphone. 128k is more than sufficient for a music file on any phone.

It all depends on the size of your ringer.

You can use close to 300+ kbps but the ringer must be a few seconds long. You dont want it to be much over 500kb...
