    mms video on Pearl

    Hi,
I have read several posts about this however; no definitive answer. I want to look at mms videos on my pearl. Other people on various networks are trying to send them and I get this msg.

one or more of the message have been deleted by mms adaption. either the message was too large or components were unsuitable to your terminal

I am using ATT/Cingular. There are ample posts about how to view videos from tv shows and the like however; not much on mms videos. Help please. I would REALLY like to view them. Thanks.

    Re: mms video on Pearl

    Two questions.

What carrier are the messages coming from?

And how long are the videos?

There have been known issues in the past with MMS coming from CDMA to GSM that were solved but may have popped back up on the BB end. The vid length should be shorter than 15 seconds to be recieved as a MMS message normally.

Thanks for your replies. The videos in question come from Verizon on a Razr.

    12 seconds is the longest.

What file size is it. Technically the limit that can be sent properly on a GPRS/EDGE network MMS switch is 300 KB.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I have had this same issue my brother tried sending me video when I first got my pearl about a month ago and kept getting that same message that the file was not supported . We both have att and I always got his videos on my razr so I called tech support and they told me that the pearl should be able to receive these if the file was not too big after hearing this while my brother was sitting in front of me he took a video of himself( about five seconds long) sent it to me took about three minutes to receive it I opened it up and no video just some pink birthday cake with candles on it you know those animated text inserts they put on phones these days. It was pretty amusing I must say

    Re: mms video on Pearl

I have to say that I am starting to become annoyed with my pearl. I wanted a multi media phone that could do everything. Its frustrating I cant do online banking, I cant book most travel arrangements, nor can I view videos from friends. The last video sent was three seconds long as a test video. Perhaps I chose wrong. There are allot of features I really do like but the annoyances are starting to win out.

The best way to receive video is to have sent as an atattchment to an email.

Yea I guess that could work if only everyone I knew had e-mail capabilities on their phone
