delete the service books and resend them

also send a test message to yourself...i've heard some tmo users say that is how they got their mms to work

Re: mms issues with Rogers OS

Did you get this figured out?
There is an issue with MMS and the number of tunnels/connections you have to the internet. I have found that if you have Jivetalk running you cannot send MMS. You still receive MMS, but you cannot send unless you sign out of Jivetalk. I know weird.

Like Cherri said just test it out and see if you can send yourself one. I hope this helps.

Re: mms issues with Rogers OS

I tried sending an mms to myself the other day, and, i believe i was logged in to jive talk, it worked. i received one this morning while signed in to JT, but it said it couldn't receive the image. so i had to open the message & tell it to retrieve it. finally it came through.

what is this? i've never had to do this before. is this still part of what Red said above? JT and mms?

sweet if your having the issue i just been talking to support on jt and if you change the transport from TCP to either BIS or BES if your on one it works like a champ. for some reason for now its not working with TCP settings and they are aware of this.

You can have it automatically retrieve it. Just go to options, MMS, then change Multimedia Reception to ALWAYS and Automatic Retrieval to ALWAYS. Now you don't have t selct that option when you get and MMS.

Thaks Red! just had to change the auto retrieval option. i knew it had to be a toggle somewhere, but i'm an idiot and completely overlooked this.

I tested my MMS capabilities with the Rogers OS and I was able to send and receive MMS with JiveTalk logged in and using the BIS tunnel.

Nice find progaim8r. I was doing this with the TCP tunnel. Totally forgot that option was even there.
I just tested it and works just fine!

Re: mms issues with Rogers OS

ok I re-sent the the service books, but I think that the fact that the friend was sending a vid, from a different type of phone( moto.) and a different provider. may have been part of the problem.

I sent a mms to myself and no probs there, it also helped to do a batt. pull
    thanks for the help!
