MMS count towards regular sms or data?

I have a the BB unlimited data plan and I pay cellular one an extra 5 a month for 200 text messages. When I send an MMS with a picture attached does it count as a text message and just get taken out of my 200 message bucket? or does it count as data and is free?
Or does it cost even more than a regular sms?
    thanks.

It counts as an SMS/MMS, not sure what provider you have, but depending on your services it may cost you.

I have Tmobile and with my Blackberry Plan I have unlimited SMS, but I have to add a 4.99 service add on to be able to send and receive MMS.

i dont know about tmo but with cingular you cannot send or recieve text without the blackberry connect. MMS should count on sms not data.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~it counts as one of your messages and uses data too but not much. Without your messages and data packs a mms would cost 25 cents and about 3-5 cents of days

On the blackberry you can set it to save on the SIM card but not move existing ones to the SIM card. To enable this Options>SMS TXT> Leave Messages on SIM> set this to yes. .. But it will not hold a whole lot for 1 and this will be lower the more entries you have ont eh SIM for your phone book.

if you have tmobile i think it is covered. I have the 5 a month for 400 texts. They told me i get 400 sms and mms. Regular txt costs 15cents and picture ones cost 25cents i think; i would double check eith your service provider

Re: MMS count towards regular sms or data?

sulavsingh, MMS is covered by the data plan and SMS is a seperate package you have to buy(t-mobile). Also, the 400 SMS texts you get also include the sent texts as well. so if you receive 200 texts and send 200 texts that = your 400.
