I just got a san disk microsd from UpgradeNation.com and I am quite happy with it. Very good price on that site too.

1GB is the max at the moment. 2GB cards are not supported but they are working on it.

I'm using a San Disk 1gb micro sd card in my Pearl. I purchased it from http://www.amazon.com and it was $39.99. I am pleased with my purchase.

1GB here. If you can do it, get a 1GB for now, and when they finally update the OS and get the bugs worked out, then upgrade. I plan on getting the 4GB when it comes out, but want to make sure the OS supports it first. I have already dumped too much $ into the 8100BP. Ask me what the BP means. ;-)

I have only had 1 issue with the 1GB not playing a file (assuming it is coded correctly. see dcf's post on media).

Again, if price is acceptable, get a 1GB for now and then upgrade after these bugs are worked out.

    Re: MicroSD Cards?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~Ive found better deals online as well than I have at the local retailers. That's one personal choice. It just depends if one is willing to wait for it to be shipped or if you've just got to have it right now. It really depends on your personal choice. Follow N8's recommendation and get a 1gb micro sd card for now until the updated os is released.

I bought mine through Amazon reference to "esmartbuy" for $33 each, SanDisk 1gb. Bout two and they arrived within 2 days of ordering. Work like a charm.

Here is a size comparison between the MicroSd, MiniSD & SD chips.

    Re: MicroSD Cards?

OK, I am getting conflicting answers on whether 2 GB is supported. BB's official answer is no, but posters answers vary. I need to make a purchase tomorrow. Is there anyone else who can confirm that their 2 GB card is working in the 8100?

    Better stick with the 1GB.

Actually, I prefer 1GB [as I have done with my SD chips]. If a 2GB goes bad, you are out the 2GB. If you have two 1GB chips and one goes bad or you lose it, at least you have one remaining.

I had this happen with my 512MB chips. One of them stopped working, so at least I had others that still worked.

    Just a thought.

Just a side comment: remember when a 500MB hard disk was more space than one could ever imagine needing?
