    Re: micro sd media cards

lizm233 welcome to the stacks. I hope you got your connection setup. sd cards are cheap to expensive, depending on how you see it. the pearl will take up a 1g or 2g MICRO sd card, depending on your os. you can store alot more music if you have one. agaian if we can help in any other way let us know, everyone here is VERY helpful

yes u really need one, i use a sandisk micro sd card. I have the 512 mb sd card and not the one gb yet. But u can find deals on these sd media cards at frys, or circuit city, those the two i know that got good deals on them right now.. my 512 mb media card cost me like 20 somthin bucks (circuit city). At frys i payed 30 somethin fo a one gb. Make sure it says "micro"and not the mini sd card. If u have anymore questions hit us back up or send me a pin msg

    Re: micro sd media cards

I know that you can purchase a 512mb MicroSD for about $30, a 1gb for about $50, and a 2gb for around $80 or $90, so yeah they are kind of expensive. I believe that they are worth it though.

Without them, you won't be able to really use your Pearl as an MP3 player due to the 2.8mb file size limit on the device.

Even though I have a 1gb MicroSD, I'm not really using it because my computer broke, so I can't use it for anything other than saving files from the BB browser.

(sigh), I never knew that living without Limewire would be so difficult.I plan to get a new PC for Christmas though, so I only have to wait a few more weeks!

Consider each mp3 is about 3-5MB, you should be able to fit about 100-120 songs. It's not an iPod, but good enough for casual use and going to the gym.

I do wish they have an equalizer, though? Any third party software for that?

Ye you will need a microSD card. I got mine 1GB for $40 total. Sucks I couldent find any 2GB back then

P.S. If you dont trust internet or dont want to wait, the cheapest place where to get it, I'd say is "FRYS"
