The one thing I don't like about this program, is unlike radio bee, you aren't able to fine tune your settings, which usually causes the skips and whatnot.

what causes the skip is the lack of memory on the pearl. when I tether my 8100 and run streaming radio I get no skipping on computer. pearl doesn't have enough muscle to do the job (same reason the browser loads slower on pearl than tethered browsing).

That's the one thing I miss most about my old TREO and Pocket Tunes, great streaming audio!

    Re: MFRadio (alternate to radiobee)

Hi there - I have successfully downloaded MF Radio to my Pearl and it is working with the preloaded stations but I am having trouble connecting to other stations.

I have checked out the list of working stations in the other threads and would like to connect, say, to ESPN radio etc.

Can someone please let me have simple idiot proof instructions for connecting to other radio stations from MFRadio on a Pearl?

    Many thanks

    Ian

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~funny thing I can get this program to work and have yet to get radiobee to load anything. I'm always having the opposite problem than the rest of the board.

    Re: MFRadio (alternate to radiobee)

The stations that you enter into MF radio need to have http in front of the URL. This isn't like radiobee. I've sat and played with both extensively. It buffers because that is the nature of streaming anything. I posted a list of working stations for MF. There is also a list of stations that kayos72 and I worked on for radiobee. The stations that work best are those streaming 64kbps and below. 96kbps will work, but they buffer more. Remember, you must have http://xx.xx.xxx.xxx:xxx as your URL format. And if your data connection isn't strong, it will also fail to connect. Move to an area where you have good reception, and reconnect. If it works on my Pearl, in my area of low reception, it will work on yours too. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    Re: MFRadio (alternate to radiobee)

Is there a thread somewhere on the Stack that has all of the working radio stations and URLS for MF Radio?
