    Message Division Question

On my home page I have a picture of the envelope for messages.

Whenever I receive an email message from various accounts or a text message, each message is sent to the general message folder, as well as the specific email folder. (gmail, yahoo, etc). Is there a way for it not to be sent to both at the same time?

I want my messages to be sorted somehow. Thanks.

Also, in the "view folder" section, I dont see an email outbox or inbox folder. I only see ones for SMS or MMS.

There is no inbox / outbox on a BlackBerry, as expected through experience on other email clients.

Secondly, the Message app is the main message list in which ALL messages reside, email, SMS, MMS, PIN, etc.

Thirdly, the additional email icons are merely for sorting purposes. They are aliases or shortcuts, of a kind, to go to a filtered Message list.

If you are not on BES, then just hide the Message icon, and just use the shortcut filters.

Or, hide the additional email filter icons, and just use the Message app. You can define shortcuts to filter the list, which would be accessed by pressing ALT + letter. There are pre-defined shortcuts, such as ALT + P for Phone calls, ALT + S for SMS, etc.

(Note: some versions of the Zen theme will always auto-filter SMS and MMS into a separate icon. But they can be viewed in the Message list by filtering using a shortcut, ALT + S.)

    Thanks RC!

(and you didn't have to correct me this time

And we didn't argue about the superiority of BIS 1.8 or 2.1 )

    Re: Message Division Question

Nothing to correct, and I'm through argueing about BIS 1.8-2.x, Each has it's advantages and disadvantages, and a long as they don't force me to transition I'll be fine.
