There is no way to stop it, can be caused because of the apps you are running, custom themes and some more things the good news for you is that your mem leaking is not that big, if you're looking to free up some mem try deleting some app, call logs, old messages, browser cache, themes and make sure to close all the app you open at all times.

Memory fluctuates upto 10 meg normally and doing a battery pull or using an app called quick pull will bring it back up to the maximum possible considering what ever apps you have downloaded.but it's normal and not really anything permenent you can do about it.

you can't stop it. Some apps leave traces behind, others work in the background, some update automatically. That's the way it is. The best way is not to worry and pull the battery from time to time or, if your phone has a qwerty key board, hit alt+right caps key+del

Its 18.29 mb. Not too bad (as far as I know) for an 8330.

In my opinion I would recommend doing atleast one battery pull a day. In my own experience oi have noticed if I don't do a battery pull each day it drastically slows down my bb and everything I'm trying to do. I have the program quickpull and have it automatically set up to reboot every night. Rather do it then when I'm not going to be using it than during the day when it would be a hassle.
