    Media Player (8100) questions

I have upgraded to OS 107, and I've nwo been able to play some WMA files.

What I'm wondering is, some of my WMA songs work, and others, while the player will display the song title, won't play... the Media Player simply hangs there, displaying the songs title, but doesn't play.

Is this due to the file size?

Also, anyone know of a converter to convert WMA to MP3, perferably free? If so, if you could provide a link, it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

Don't know about the file size issue with WMA, but to convert WMA to MP3, you could try a free program called Wavepad. I can't post links yet, so you'll need to Google it. Sorry!

Do you know if they are varible or constant bitrates or lossless? That could have something to do with it.

As far as converting them, are you running windows on a pc? You could just use windows media player...

Didn't know Windows Media Player can convert, without burning a disk...

    How do you do that?

ya, it might be because I'm running windows media center...I can right click an audio file and click 'convert audio format' and it brings it up in media player asking what I want to convert it to. Also while in that window if I click back I can add as many files as I want to convert. Just can't remember how the right click option got there (maybe media player update??).
