If you're looking to wipe the device, try entering the wrong password 10 times in a row and that will wipe it clean.

"Options / Security Settings / General Settings, then click the Menu button and choose "Wipe Handheld". You will need to type in blackberry to confirm your request but your device should be cleaned off after that!"

Have you tried a battery pull reset first (take out battery with BB on then wait at least 30 seconds before putting it back in)? Always a good first step in trying to resolve something like this.

If your device memory is running short, it will cut your speaker out. Also try deleting apps you don't use. They can always be put back in later, if you decide to use them. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Try to contact your carrier to see if there is a solution, or an option for replacement!

My 02 cents is DO not master reset your BB !! Sounds like there are other ways to sort your problems out

    Re: Master RE-Set

Just curious.........If I sell my BB should I just perform a master reset by entering the wrong password 10 times or is there a formal way to get it back to manufacture's settings?
