This place is awesome and I love my Blackberry.
i use Tip Buddy, Tip Master figures tip by using some multiplier of the tax and that's way wrong!
Do it in your head .. impress your friends .. =)
Yeah. Pretty EZ.
If You want to tip .15 then for every ten bucks you spend throw in $1.50 ($20.00=$3.00 tip and so on...) That's a standard so so tip for standard so so service. completely acceptable.
If you want to leave .20 then add $2.00 for every $10.00 you spend. Twenty percent is the way to go if they rose to any kind of good service IMO.
Otherwise dig out your pearl or anyother tip sheet and look like a tool while computing .13 of your $14.65 meal.
No disrespect meant but come on...
I 100% agree.
I rarely leave less than 20%. If the service stunk I'll leave 15%. If it really stunk I'll leave 15% and speak to a manager.
If the service was magnificent then I'll leave 30 or more %.
The servers work for pennies on the dollar. Most of them, except for California, work for only about $3-4 per hour. The tips is what they live on. The $3-4 per hour is where the taxes get taken out from so they really never see that.
Please be kind and respectful to the service team. Remember you are not the only table in the restaurant when you are there. People are human and generally make mistakes so you must leave buffer room for small errors/issues.
Don't take the food being cooked wrong out on the server as they did not cook the food. They only brought it to the table and most are not expert of culinary arts. They merely are the mediators between the "back of the house"(kitchen) and the "front of the house"(where you eat).
Enjoy your knew knowledge each and every time you dine.
May I suggest The Wizard.
I've heard you can find them hot on the streets in New York. Just make sure you don't buy The Willard instead. My parents live in Del Boca Vista (Phase 3) retirement community, and some guy who was running for condo president was giving out Willards and trying to pass them off as Wizards. It turns out they were defective and causing people to over-tip... we tipped 5 dollars for a BLT!
i just double the sales tax.. unless they are cute and gave really good service.... ... lolololol
Sportin a kBerry Curve
Is that only 15 percent by doubling the tax? uh oh. lol
