    Level 1 message is usually a PIN message.
    Go into Mail application and go to Options. Set "Make PIN Messages Level 1" to Yes.

    I don't think you can do that. Level 1 messages are only for PIN messages.

    Each Blackberry has it's own unique PIN#. So if you send someone a PIN, it goes phone to phone through your cell carrier's data channels. This means you have to have a data plan in order to send PIN's. In a way it's sort of like a text message. Does that make any sense?

    To find out what your PIN is, go to Options > Status. Or if you go to any text screen, you can type "mypin" and it will tell you what it is as well.
