LED Flashing notify - stops after 30 minutes

I have noticed that the LED Flashing notification stops after about 30 minutes. I'm on the 4.2.064 release. This happens when the phone is on key-lock or standby mode. Is anyone else having this problem ?

That isn't a problem, it is the way the 8100 works. If you want the LED to continue for a longer amount of time, you'll need a 3rd party application. Search the other board for "BlackBerryAlerts". Some developer named Logan wrote this application and it works great.

Its actually a pretty decent feature. Most BB users check their phone atleast every half hour anyways and if they don't they won't notice the LED anyways. Its a battery conserving feature.

For sure I know my Rogers 7130g did not time out the red LED flashing.

And I don't think it times out on my Rogers 8100 either. But I'm not entirely sure.

Every phone I owned that had a notify/reminder LED never timed out. I believe powering a flashing LED consumes very little power. The blackberry by default continously flashes the LED green for coverage confirmation. If the flash notification timeout isn't a flaw, there needs to be an option to continously flash.

Blackberry Alerts is a pretty nifty program. I really like changing the color of the LED and time/duration it blinks. Would be cool if I could set the LED to my different chat programs too.
