I activated from my device so I never saw the codes. They were probably in the confirmation emails I deleted. I have emailed them for the codes.

    Thanks Red

So this is the path the he used to delete the vendor.xml file? Many people over look the common files part. Maybe do a search for vendor.xml file see if it brings up anything.

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

    NOT THIS ONE (C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\etc\etc)

Yes, I was deleting the correct vendor.xml file.

    I finally found the solution:

    1. Installed new OS with previous version still installed.

    2. Deleted the vendor.xml file.

    3. DM finally recognizes the update and offers to install the updated files to the device!

After updating my 8100 from the .96 to .108 OS my free memory went from around 22mb to 32mb. I have the same apps and games installed as before the update. Could they have trimmed this much out of the older OS? Hmmmm......

Yes, it is "multi-language", that generally means that it supports all currently supported languages.
