Try the link again and choose "BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Smartphone" from the drop down. That will take you to the page fo the download link. From there you will need to enter your info in the form and download the software.

After downloading and before updating, uninstall your current OS system from your PC via the control panel add remove programs. This will remove the old OS, then install the new OS, remove the vendor.xml file from the AppLoader folder found here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
You can then run DM and it should find the updated version.

It's actually quite simple. You just need to remove the old OS so the DM sees the update, and remove the vendor.xml to load onto your vendor phone. Once you get the hang of it it's easy!

okay i guess just moving the vendor file did it for me, thanks for the info

another note: I have actually two pearls in my family, and we connect it through the same PC, to make it work for them, should I just connect the phone and that should do it, or should I delete the vendor file one more time?

Re: Latest 8100 OS 4.2.1.108 (Multilanguage)

That should do it. You only need to delete the file once.

** You do not need to readd the vendor file by the way. Just delete it.

With doughdaddy's help I just upgraded from .96 to .108. Right from the start it seem to be quicker. I just finished and that's all I have had time to check out so far, but I'll post back soon.
