I've noticed that while my phone is locked when I hit, *+call button, to unlock there's a slight delay compared to the 8100. anyone else notice this?

I have noticed it. The same happens when I lock it the phone.

I kinda just shrugged it off though, not that big of a deal.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~maybe check your memory file free? It could just be a lag from too many things running in the background!

I remember reading somewhere was having this problem and it had something to do with their compression or secruity setting and that delay was it uncompressing. I believe it was the content compression under secrity or content protection. Id play with either one of those and see if it helps.

    Meh!

Before playing with any settings I would take a few things to mind...
    1. When you exit any application, especially your browser you MUST use the back/stop key until the app closes, otherwise it will continue running in the background and eat memory and batteries. 2. If you use password protection, so your typing a password rather than * and talk keys, there should be no delay whatsoever. On the plus side your device is more secure as well if misplaced or lost:>~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

just saw this post revived. I've figured out what was causing the delay. Although I have removed a lot such as voice dialing, preloaded pictures, etc. I've figured out that the problem causing the delay was MyFaves. I deleted all the cods relating to myfaves and I no longer have this delay.
